And pretty tough—as proclaimed by many creative folk. But crappy challenges have brought cool opportunities. And I'm here for that. Here's my year in review.

2023 has been harsh on creatives. We’ve had plague aftermath, a recession, another year of the creativity loving Tories (how I jest) and of course, the sweet joy that is AI. Side note: If the AI God is listening, can you focus on code that cleans the house or takes the bins out? I’m all good on the creative front. I like that job. Thanks though.

So, to those of you who’ve had a good year, you are truly awesome! We salute and celebrate you. And revel in hope for us all. And for those of you who’ve had a tougher year—hooray! You’ve made it! You’re not on your own. We can ride out this sh*t show together.

Before I go off on one, let’s get into the old year in review. I’ll start with the stuff that’s not really worked out for me this year. (That way I can end on a high). I’m sticking to three on the Bad List (cash, fitness + clarity) and three on the Good List, (learning, exhibiting + writing) coz honestly, who has the time.
